Description:

Our 75 m2 (800 sqft) apartment has a large open living space with a new modern kitchen, featuring a bar, overlooking the canals and passing boats. As the apartment is situated on Marcanti Peninsula, you are in the middle of the city, but without the noise. Literally enclosed on three sides by water and at the end of a dead-end street. Only local traffic, very quiet. Ample parking space (paid, no waiting list for parking permit).

The south-facing large balcony has sun almost all day and has a nice folding table to eat at with up to 6 people, or a romantic dinner for two, or fold it up completely to enjoy the sun in the (provided) hammock.

The living room has a large dining table suitable for six persons - also functions well as a working space, couch is soft and comfortable. The kitchen island with the bar is the heart of the house, to sit and enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun, overlooking the canals.

The apartment features two bedrooms, master bedroom has a 160x200 cm bed, very large wardrobe covering an entire wall, with plenty of hanging space, and a shelved closet with integrated dressing table covering another wall.

The open kitchen with kitchen island and sitting bar is fully equipped: dishwasher, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, utensils, coffee percolator.

Also not pictured: the utility room with washing machine and dryer, hanging space to dry laundry and storage. The hallway has plenty of space for coats, shoes, etc.

Just a short walk along the boulevard of the peninsula, you'll find Hugo de Grootplein, where you can find nice cafés, sunny terraces, restaurants varying from cheap to upscale, two large supermarkets, Asian grocery stores, one of the best bakeries in Amsterdam, a quality fish store, classic Dutch snack bar (Febo), dry cleaning services, clothing repair shop, and a few nice take-away shops (Greek, Indian, Surinamese, Spare ribs, etc.). If you're vegan, you're also in the right place, with lots of vegan cafés and shops within walking distance. The vibrant Westergasfabriek area and the Hallen, with food court, cinemas, events, etc. are also just around the corner. All the best Amsterdam has to offer, while you are away from tourist crowds.
