Background of ‘HET GRIFTHOF’
The fifteen apartments are built at the Grift. The municipality of Apeldoorn has paid much attention to this area in recent years. For example, the old V&D building has been completely renovated, a beautiful beer tasting room has been established next to ‘HET GRIFTHOF’, and many hospitality businesses have been added. The new apartments are located behind an important historical building where the Salvation Army was established until a few years ago. Currently, in consultation with the municipality of Apeldoorn, work is being carried out on the completion of a façade reconstruction from 1894 with characteristic round masonry lanterns that were used at the time as beacons of the Salvation Army.
