A SHORT TOUR:
A beautiful and bright apartment consisting of a spacious high living room with open kitchen, a bathroom and a loft floor consisting of a bedroom (no standing height). In the center of Utrecht is located on the Donkerstraat a unique monumental building that has probably already grabbed your attention. The beautiful city castle on the Donkerstraat was built in 1467 by order of Evert Zoudenbalch. After that it had various destinations, such as chaplain building and secretariat of the Catholic church, craft school and warehouse with showrooms of tradesmen, with the last, until 2008, resident of the Nature and Environment Foundation. The building was destroyed by fire in 1903. The characteristic neo-gothic facade of Namur stone, battlements, cross frames, stained glass windows with red shutters, everything has been restored in the original style during the renovation. In 2011 Huis Zoudenbalch was completely renovated and converted into a complex with 24 unique apartments. The apartments are all different and fully insulated. There is a communal courtyard and a central bicycle shed.
