By following the road along the Maas you will arrive at this beautiful and amazingly "riverside house". A German designer has completely renovated this historic building by hand.
The house consists of plaster walls, carved oak staircase, handmade tiles and patinated copper kitchen cabinets. All this made by the designer Valentin Loellmann.
When you enter the house you will see the main staircase between the lower and upper floors. The main staircase is formed all around with cement and the floor tiles that stand out in the hall are made of leather, ceramic, steel and wood.
Through the hall you walk through to the living room, which is equipped with a cozy fireplace. In the living room, a seating area has been designed along the entire length of the window side with a view of the Maas and there are also storage drawers at the bottom.
The kitchen in the Riverside House has handcrafted patinated brass cabinets. The counter top is made of sculpted oak wood that is finished with hard wax. From the kitchen you also have access to the beautiful garden with a natural swimming pool.
On the ground floor you will find 1 of the 2 bathrooms.
Here you will find a bathtub made of rosewood where you can relax with a view of the beautiful garden.
A charred and polished oak floor upstairs leads you to the second bathroom in the Riverside House. The top floor has three rooms, including 1 master bedroom that will amaze you with a beautiful light and when the sun shines you can enjoy the reflection of the swimming pool water.
The second bedroom can be used as a guest room. The third bedroom which consists of two layers. by means of a wooden stepladder you reach a loft where you can sleep and where you can enjoy the beautiful light.
Due to the many different and separate spaces / layouts, it is a great experience. You feel like you have landed in a fairytale house.
