De Omval is located in the East district on the Amstel, on the border with the South district, at the foot of the Rembrandt Tower, near the Amstel station, within walking and cycling distance of various cafes and restaurants (including Hesp, Dauphine, Blookers, Ode aan de Amstel and the Ysbreker) and the green city beach on the Amstel next to the Amstelkwartier. There is no through car traffic on the Omval.
