How does our house hunt work:

As an expat coming to the Netherlands it can be quite daunting finding the right home. expat2holland hopes to remove the stressful element of trawling through websites, private postings or listings trying to identify the right home in a changing market. Many companies and expats contact us in order to take the stress out of moving and finding an appropriate place to live.

expat2holland has a huge network of colleague rental / estate agencies and private landlords which means by contacting us we can take you out on a tailor made house hunt matching your desired requests. You can expect to view houses from a number of different agencies as well as our own portfolio so you get a good selection of the current rental market. This is via a drive around of up to 10properties in a few hours or one off viewings.

Landlords require in general a current valid passport and work permit as well as proof of income and an employers statement. It is handy to have this available.

Getting timely signatures and a copy of your contract also in English.

Planning your tour or scheduling your viewing/s at times convenient to you

Negotiations with the landlord to ensure he or she accepts you as a tenant if you match their expectations.

Assistance checking into a property and taking meter or utility readings if this is excluded in your rental price.

expat2holland negotiates on behalf of the tenant as opposed to the landlord unless otherwise stated or agreed in advance.

Costs

Contacting, registration, scheduling a viewing from an advert of our own portfolio and or the house hunt tour is free of charge and the potential renter is under no obligation should they feel the tour or the viewing does not match their expectations, however upon a successful search or viewing a finders fee of one month rent plus VAT is applicable. By agreeing and signing a rental contract you also agree to the finders fee and terms and conditions as set out in your contract.
