The Reinier Engelmanstraat in the green and upcoming area Amsterdam New West will soon feature a striking new apartment building: The Citadel. Right in the center of the Slotervaart district, at walking distance of Station Sloterdijk, 149 one- and two bedroom apartments are created which will be available for rent in the second quarter of 2022.

The Citadel will consist out of five floors with a total of 149 two- to three-room rental apartments, ranging from 42 m2 to 69 m2. All apartments include a private outdoor space and most have a storage. It will be delivered turn-key. This means they are completely finishing and there are no big investments necessary on the tenant’s part. The apartments are fully painted and include pvc floors, curtain rails, a complete kitchen, including built-in appliances, and a modern bathroom

Additionally, the building offers courtyards, multiple roof terraces, and a bicycle storage located in the garage right below the building for communal use. This is where you can also find 60 parking spaced that can be rented optionally.

Good to know; during the construction of the building, the highest requirements regarding sustainability were taken into account, including the integration of solar panels. As a result, all apartments have the most sustainable and optimal energy label. 

The neighborhood & accessibility.

Although the building is located in a quiet residential area, it is right in the center of Slotervaart. This means that all necessary facilities are within reach. The Sierplein is just a short walk away, which is the spot to get all daily essentials and groceries or go to the gym. 

In addition, one of the unique aspects of The Citadel is its optimal accessibility. The city center of Amsterdam is just a fifteen-minute bike ride away, and within five minutes tenants of the building can reach the Hoofddorpplein district, full of restaurants and bars, the recreational area Sloterplas, the Rembrandtpark, and the Vondelpark.
